School Visits
I offer in-person poetry sessions and performances to primary schools - please get in touch for a chat. I am East-Midlands based, but happy to travel. Online sessions are also available.
I am an ex-teacher and preschool teacher. I can work with Nursery to Year 6 and provide full or half/part days, comprising any combination of:
-
Whole school assembly
-
Joining-in/Activity poems for EYFS/KS1 (Marjorie the parrot puppet comes too!)
-
Poetry workshops
-
I am open to discussing other ideas for your school
A full school day is priced at £300 plus travel/accommodation expenses as necessary. I am happy to discuss price adjustments for bookings of more than one day, or across multiple schools within a foundation/trust.
Please see testimonials below, and get in touch for more information.

Poetry Online!
Online poetry sessions are now available via Zoom!
A Zoom session is ideal for one class group and will last around 35 minutes: lots of fun poems performed by me (some with joining in!) plus hints and tips on writing your own poems. I will also email teachers a poem or poems to use as inspiration/a starting point, for children to have a go at writing one after the session. I can do sessions for KS1 or KS2, and Marjorie the parrot often appears too! (I am happy to discuss options for Reception classes.)
Sessions as described above are £60, but discounts are available for multiple bookings within a school.
What teachers say...

‘Thank you so much for this morning!...Thank you!’
‘Thank you so much for yesterday – it was good fun!’
‘Thanks again – I have so many children who spontaneously write poetry now.’
