I currently offer poetry workshops and performances to primary schools in my local area (South Derbyshire, N.W. Leicestershire) with a view to working further afield and online, in future. I am an ex-teacher and preschool teacher, with experience of working with children across all the primary age ranges. I have an MA in Creative Writing and a PGCE in Primary Teaching.
I can provide full or half/part day sessions, comprising any combination of:
Interactive poetry performance EYFS/KS1/KS2
Rhyme Time and Playing with Words for Nursery/Pre-School/Reception
Poetry workshops in individual class groups
Outdoor nature-themed workshops (within school grounds)
I am happy to chat with individual schools about what would work best for them.
Prices start from £50 for a 45-minute rhyme time and word play session with Nursery/Reception, to £300 for a whole school day. For a complete price list please contact me via email or the form on my website.
National Poetry Day 2022 falls on Thursday 6th October; I still have sessions available during this week and can link workshops to this year’s theme, The Environment, if required.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding availability, or anything else at all!
