Rainy Day Poem

They say

raindrops are tears

but I say

that's a cliché.

I say

raindrops are

mirrors and wishes

the souls of lost mermaids

secrets wrapped in

reflections.

Raindrops are

a sip of the sea

a nature-taster

a million wet echoes.

They are thank you and

please please

look after us.

Raindrops are

the tick and tock of

Earth's clock

the start of a puddle

the end of an argument.
